Not sure I agree with that. Humans loose moisture, boiling food , drying washing and showers are all together a different matter.big-all wrote: ↑Sat May 06, 2023 1:09 pm ventilation is a very subjective thing
a house can have zero provisions for ventilation and the normal use will provide enough air movement to stop excess moisture and stale air being a problem
all you need do is tackle any problems as passively as possible
excessive ventilation can mean extra energy usage in heating and ventilation

I agree with Neelix
Humans give out moisture in the breath, not to mention cooking washing and drying.
Working ventilation is a must.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

with condensation, you need to reduce the cause first then deal with what's left
things like drying clothes indoors showering bathing and cooking without area relevant extraction will aggravate the situation
its often a Ballance between heat and ventilation, as in heat the space to suspend the moisture in the air before active removal via fan or dehumidifier or an open window
is it a specific room or area that's the problem ??

Do you have showers?Zudecke wrote: ↑Sat May 06, 2023 1:12 pmAs I mentioned though, we do have a problem with excessive condensation. We've been told airflor is a problem, but don't have anything scientific to share.big-all wrote: ↑Sat May 06, 2023 1:09 pm ventilation is a very subjective thing

I'm told all property's need at least some ventilation. We have none..
How do you dry your clothes?
Do you boil a lot of your food?
At the end of the day all these PLUS humans mean moisture in the air so ventilation is essential. Best from one side of a property to the other ...............
I've seen so may rentals with exactly the same issues and all they need is ventilation to reduce the moisture in the air ......
Government advice to prevent drafts has made the problem worse IMHO
