Just tried compare the market and Sainsbury’s are dearer than LV by about £25. Thanks for the heads up DWD also about house insurance. Unfortunately our house is about 20 yards from a small stream down from the house and most insurers panic about it. Although in the 17 years we have lived here it has never reached the top of the sleeper wall bank. This winter with the heavy rain our bridge was hit by the water and moved very slightly. It was not helped by our next door neighbours bridge coming adrift and floating down to hit our bridge! It’s all been repaired now.

Bizarrely when i renewed this year i got cheaper prices for on road parking as opposed to driveway behind a gate! Play around with the algorithm. I only discovered it because although my van is always on the drive i thought i still would like to be covered if parking on street for any reason. The difference was quite alot around 50 on a 300ish policy!

I was told it was more expensive to keep in a garage. more risk of accident's
I have just yesterday had an email asking for photos of the car, all the sides , inside, boot , engine, wheels, dashboard and they want me to also hold my license up and be in the picture and not blocking the image of the car. and given 7 days to do that in.....
I wonder if this will be a trend in future

It just seems so unusual to ask for all those details. Quite why they need it is questionable

i called them , and its just 1 car they need to verify, and i have to take the photos , they have extended the timescale , as the car they want has an engine fault
but they have to have the photos otherwise they cannot insure and accept a claim

The car has been a saga , cost wise recently , i wanted to get rid of the thing, BUT she wants to keep it and spending money

We had Staysure travel insurance - and to claim. The money was in our bank account within 48 hours. It’s not all about low prices

Change every year.

Martin Lewis said the sweet spot is to carry out a comparison search 21 days before your policy expires.

My sons was something like 2.5k. Granted it's his first car but that's a mickey take.
