Hang on! Should he be removing the cover? Thats a no no if you're not an engineer.

It's all done under very 'controlled' environment.

Go figure, the Gas Safe, Vaillant trained engineer who installed the boiler, used some of the incorrect wires, a Vaillant engineer who works for Vaillant told me that when we had a service. Vaillant said 'they wouldn't cover the boiler until the wiring was corrected'. The installer wasn't concerned about carrying any of the 'Gas Safe' checks. There is a lot more.

I cleaned the previous leaking water, it's dripping from the Diverter Valve, I'm 100% on that.

Of course, we cannot advise you to do the diverter swap yourself on the forum as we must always recommend a Gassafe engineer does the job. However, you can see what is involved here for clarity https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kBvll_d1PY

Thanks, that's exactly the link I book marked earlier yesterday. In it he describes the water 'veering' towards the left, that's what we have.
As an aside I called a Gas Safe engineer a couple of weeks ago, lives a street away. He opened the boiler cover, took a few minutes and said we've
got a leak in TWO places, etc.
