I knew what you were talking about!

My clients at it again, (at least he kept his hands off the paintwork this time - perhaps the message is getting through) joiners off for christmas and he went ahead with the last bits of plasterboard Thursday night - spent most of Friday ripping it out, putting the timberwork where it should be and fitting new Plasterboard (without the rips and tears).

Ho hum, another half-day behind and they want a finish for Christmas - I had planned a day off on Wednesday (not had one of those for a few weeks now) - not looking very promising and I haven't even done my christmas cards yet, let alone presents!

Over the last few months I have been getting clients who are trying to save money by doing the prep themselves, Its really starting to get on my t***, they come away with the patter "It should be a lot cheaper as I've done all the prep", they cant understand the problems they have caused.

Aye, the two heartsink statements:

"The rooms all prepped ready to decorate"

"We've got all the materials (really cheap)"

Anyway, got a result of sorts - finished all the taping, sanded and mist coat then clients said leave it at that, we'll finish the painting. Got paid there and then and ran! Dread to think what sort of finish after their last attempts but in this case I wasn't going to argue!
