Remember the snow in '62 very well indeed - made this lot look like nothing at all. Had to walk to school in '62 five, yes five, miles and yes to school no MPV's, 4X4 (other than land rovers and only farmers used them) and People Carriers in those days. Normally I would cycle it but was considered to slippery.

The best snow or should I say the deepest I've seen round this part of the world was in 68' I think? I was small I know that much, and the snow was level over the roads, you could not see where the pavement stoped and the road started!
I did find out however, steped off the kerb, right up to my crotch in the stuff!
