BTW - I've used laminate that is 'splash' resistant and suitable for bathrooms/wet areas - 15yr gaurantee (:?) - I hope its pee resistance (and I'm refering to my 4yr old not my problem  )

I've fitted laminate in bathrooms and as long as it is the correct type for bathrooms it is normally ok.

I can't offer any advice about wetting the floor though as most males (me included  do this )

The problemalso is that wet laminate can be very slippery. I always advise them to go with the vinyl strips.

My sister has some type of vinyl down in her toilet, it looks like tiles. Then she has vinyl strips that look just like laminate flooring, but it is much tougher.

I finally got round to fitting the laminate - should spend less time thinking/asking questions and more time doing it .

From this -

To this -

I didn't lift the pan as advised but I cut the laminate within 5mm on the base then put some (expensive) sealant on the surface of the join. Its been down a couple of weeks now and it seems ok - not creaking!

Thanks for all the advice :thumbright:

I've got several of them.....I'll give you fiver a door to TAKE them away . I hate them, but we can't agree on or find a new door design - need to view it rather than seeing an image on the web and we're finding it difficult to find a local retailer

it may well be water resistent but you need to get in the habit of wiping any pee up quickly. like anything if the pee stands long enough it will seep into the joints.

if any of my boys wee on the floor i usually get the other brother to wipe it up in front of them, with 1 piece of paper. it caused ructions at first but they soon got the idea.
