We love our dogs.......just as well we have four.

2 rotts and 2 labs, walkies can be fun.

They live in the house but we dont get many strangers round the gate when they are out in the yard.

The rots are brilliant with the kids BTW.

I want a Beagle, lots of ears to play with!
well if you had an harder dog there would not be a problem

I have had two German Sheperds and both were exceptional dogs and were not at all aggressive.

I remember going to my mates house once and he had a german sheperd and a rottweiler, I was at the front room and the dogs were in the back room barking and scratching at the door trying to get in. My mate said they would attack me, so I made him open the door, within 5 minutes I had one dog on led on my left leg and one dog on my right leg.

My dog scares German Shepherds off too!

During WW1 German Shepherds were known as Alsatians because of the word "German" and anti-German feeling.

My dog! (Red eyes because I did a Demon dog animation and can't find the original).

Whatever dog you get, it's for life! that can be from 8 to 18 years.
All animals now come under the "Animal welfare act" which lays down the requirements of owners to provide a level of care for all animals, now matter what the circumstances.
£500+ may seem a lot to pay for a dog, but when taken against how much you will pay over the dogs lifetime, it's only a small amount.
I've calculated that our Boxers (pictured below) cost in the region of £1000 each per annum.
This includes Food, Insurance, standard vet fees (yearly inoculations, worming tablets) and the occasional visit to the Vets for general ailments.
On top of that there are fees for Training classes, which every responsible owner should be involved with.
Too many people get a pet on the spur of the moment, without considering the long term implications!
Saying all that, we would not be without our two, who bring us real pleasure every day :thumbright:
Whatever you decide, think long and hard about your proposed new friend as it will be your companion for many years to come.

I should be dead; I've cheated the Grim Reaper yet again by surviving my third heart attack in June.

Had dogs all my life but when the last one went l decided that was it, to
much sorrow when they pass on and also got fed up making coffins and
digging holes
There would be less trouble in the world
if l had not had six daughters
