Lynne, do you have tongue & groove boards, or old fasioned ones with real gaps?

Its also not good for keeping the house warm, with big gaps letting in cold air.

I have the old fashioned ones with real gaps.
No problem with cold air, my bedroom is very warm as immersion tank is in there. Never have rad on in there. Dont fancy big spiders tho, haven't seen any yet.

40 linear metres will cover 3.8 square metres of 4 inch floor boards

maths as follows

4 inch floor boards are 95mm wide, 1m of board 95mm wide is .095m2 per linear metre

1 square metre of floor requires, 1/.095 = 10.5 linear metres

a 40 metre roll / 10.5m =3.8

hope my maths is good

Or in other words a good few quid.
Years ago AT THE CUSTOMERS REQUEST I once filled in the gaps with clear silicone and firring strips for the big ones. I told her till I was blue in the face not to use the bedroom for at least a day to allow the silicone to FULLY cure.
Did she listen??? ::b
