What did you do with the rusted parts on the car? Best thing to do if you want to get rid of those is sand each and every one down until the rust is gone and feather the paint so it has a smooth edges to it and than add rust prevent paint to that area and than come back and paint them with the color of the car paint.

Hi Yourweb,
I have not done anything on the rust yet, as i have some rust under car near the front of the car, while i was servcing i noticed the rust not too much, so i need to be looking in to this.

I might go to a body shop and buy the sandpaper, Paint for the car and rust remover& protector. I went to the Local car parts shop and they had rust remover and the colour they said they will match the colour to my car but i wasn't so sure about it.

I will go to a body shop, as they will match the colour and i still need to buy the G3 cutting compound for the scratch and graze marked to be removed, as mentioned by Raf lst time, as i never managed to get around to it.

Best kind of sand paper to buy for this is called something like wet sandpaper. You use this with water. Keeps the dust down, you wipe with dry cloth, let it really dry and than put either the rust preventer on or the paint.

I usually take a sharp object to peel the rust off first. Putty knife works on large areas. Just use the tool that best fits in the area you have the rust in. Just don't put rust remover on the area and than paint it. Lots of times rust does come back. Hence why it is best to sand that area tell all rust is gone and your paint is feathered.

I would wire wheel the rust spots back to bare metal and treat the area with something like kurust, etch prime these areas, 400 or 600 grade wet and dry over the whole of the back banel where the rust spots were, this will provide a key for new paint to stick, mask off everything apart from the area you want painted, 2 coats of primer, 2 coats or more of basecoat, then 2 or more coats of laquer on top, several thin coats are better than one or two thick coats as youre less likely to get runs in the paint.
