I generally put the metal bit on the upperside. Dont think it makes a difference, some discs have it one side, others, on the other side.

I always stick the printed side up.

One other thing to beare in mind is the use by date. They do ahve a use by date stamped in the metal collar. Shouldnt use ones that are a long time out of date.

I meant the metal bit that screws on the thread, against the disc to hold it tight, the bit with the shoulder on that goes in the hole of the disc.
