Dave is right, you won't speed it up much without the memory....you have 128MB (a single stick of PC133 SDRAM) but have two more slots for a couple more (providing it's not had the motherboard changed for a different model in its life).
I'm away until tomorrow, but I'm quite sure I've got some laying around at home you are welcome too, but let me check. It's entirely up to you - but I might not be able to test it for you. As long as you take some caution when putting it in, there shouldn;'t be an issue.
I'll see what I have and let you know, even if we drag you upto a GB (1024) it will make a big difference.
:)
Hiya Billy, thanks for the offer but i would be lost, i realise it is time for a new pc and the sooner the better
cheers Aileen.

Well, it's totally up to you - if you are nearby I can sling it round and fit it or just post if not!
Fitting for your machine is VERY simple.
- Unplug cables (except power)
- Turn power OFF at the wall (this is to earth chassis)
- Did I mention to turn power off?
- hold power button in for a sec, lights will flicker for one sec and then PC is ready for a spot of open case surgery.
This is where it gets HARD!!!!
- remove two screws a the back of the case holding side panel on
- slide panel open
Told you......
- Get new memory, clip into slot 2
- Get other new memory stick and clip into slot 3
- Push until you get a satisfying 'click'
- turn memory around if in wrong way (it will be MEGA obvious as it's 'keyed' to only let it go in one way....)
Then
- Case back on with screws
- connect cables
- power on
- enjoy new found speed and enjoyment
:)

Hmm I think I might have some kicking around also, then again might have chucked it in my last clearout, my last SDRAM machine blew itself up a while back.
I do have a newish nice AGP graphics card if anyone is looking for one?
