New tilespacers

I'm not a tiler.

I reckon If i sold a few shares i could get the multi wedge up and running and patented in 10 countries around the world.

Bite the end of the wedge off? just angle it into postion.

On a positive note tile shops can in effect reduce their stock of spacers five fold by stocking your product, one spacer does all sizes. If there is no increase in price then you are onto a winner.

I've just come up with another invention for you, it's along the same lines as the Multispacer, it's a silicone tube nozzle.

A silicone nozzle that has a bendable end, much in the same way that a drinking straw is slightly corrugated to allow the end to bend.

How many times have I had to bend nozzles round over the years, a screw on cap on the end wouldn't go a miss and the technology to be able to get dried silicone out the end easily would also be a bonus, that's down to you though, you seem like the brains

well why dont you do it mate sell your shares... i raised the cash from one of my houses... its a good idea you have... but be quick... as i said you have put it into the PUBLIC DOMAIN now so act on it quickly.... but have a look at my patent here http://v3.espacenet.com/textdoc?DB=EPOD ... 072772&F=0 read the documents if you can be bothered... and see whether or not you can redesign a marketable tile spacer.... that you dont have to bite the end off...
then get a distributor to sell them then go to china to find a desent tool maker then get a decent manufacturer oops but not in the Uk cos the labour party taxes indstry to much....

thanks for your positive attitude mate but to put things into a bit of perspective the total tile spacers sales every year amount to well over £200 million if i can get just 1% via big distributors and yes mr barthroom diyers and specialist sales re hand made and wavy edge tiles i have to keep trying... im a plasterer by trade 33 years at it and i would and still do buy any tool that makes my daily job just a little bit easier... can you remember when sticky back scrim cloth was invented??? within 1 year the sales of JUTE scrim plumeted and its now only used in fibrous plastering... Why??? because it saved the plaster time... the multispacer wont save you time but it will help you when you dont have matchsticks or wedges (oops how much are wedges) or folded card or you need a bigger grout line in a hurry...

Bathstyle - is it possible to use the straws that come with the expanding foam fillers for this bendable nozzle thing?
Also, not sure of the make, but I have come across one of the products that uses gun and nozzle that had a screw-end on the tip of the nozzle - potentially, if you got a metal cap the right size, you could cut a self-tapping thread on the end (maybe Hitch could fabricate something?) - that might work?

No hoovie its not a get rich quick scheme i did not sell one of my houses i raised the cash against 1 of them which by the way i have worked my bo***ocks of to afford and they are my pension... cant say much about the car i just like them and they are reliable... and joking aside i have a mate who has been labouring for me on and off for 30 years now and he still gets lumps in the finish even with an electric whisk... god knows how i coped when he used an old bike cog on the end of a pole...
he was always complaining about his wages but when i offerd to teach him to be a plasterer he refused saying it was to much like hard work...

I'm not sure everyone understands what the spacer is? I didn't at first.

Maybe they do, but as I see it, this is say a 2mm spacer, if you are grouting to 2 mm then you would just use them as a plain white spacer, tile away and bury the spacers if that's how you tile.

If you needed a spacer/wedge of say 5mm then you'd take the 2mm spacer and use the 5mm deep leg as a 5mm wedge, or if you need a 3mm wedge etc. But they are just the same as plain white 2mm spacers if that's all you want from them.

They come in 2, 3, 4, 5 or 7mm simple spacers but all have the 1, 3, 4 and 5mm legs that can be used as wedges (maybe the legs depth changes with the size of spacer)

Is this correct?

Who in their right mind puts spacers in between tiles and grouts over them? Who in their right mind would do that with a Multispacer?

i have often thought about a flexible silicone nozzle b for getting behind architraves next to a corner is the most annoying
