I don't care - and if more people felt this way maybe 'they' would do something about it.

If the fcukwits extracted the gazillions of cu.ft of shale gas we're sitting on (and I hope no-one puts forward any of the scare-mongering 'facts' about its extraction) we'd be independent of any country hoping to hold us to ransome.

Shale gas = cheap
Shale gas = less CO2 (as if that matters - it's plant food after all)
Shale gas = abundant (enough for hundreds of years at present consumption rates)
Shale gas = a stab in the face to eco-activists (and anything that achieves that gets my vote )

You can't run lorries on shale gas.

So even if we had all the shale gas in the world you'd still be paying hugely higher prices for anything which has to travel further than the end of your garden to get to you. Since you're in the back end of nowhere, that's pretty much everything!
