I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Just thought I would update this thread ... started to do my floor today and I bought the saw recommended below by Carhartt Kid in readyness.

It is absolutely superb - It goes through the laminate like butter. I was going to use a mitre power saw to cut the planks to length for ease, but with this saw, it takes just 10 seconds to slice through it. It is just as good for doing a trim right down a full length.

Bahco make excellent cutting tools :thumbright:
There hacksaw blades are one of the finest imo :thumbright:

I have a small Bacho saw in my toolbox and it is really handy and only cost about £3

It's a bit bent at the end though from when my friend used it :?
