Put it onto the plastic thingy that's connected at the bottom first. Press it down firmly, then press the top down.

Hi I've just repaired a sony laptop key and if you got it from laptopkey.com they provide videos showing the process
for the correct keyboard which was very handy as they are so small and tricky to do
