One last question though, does that 300mm on the wall unit include the door? Or is it the actual depth of the carcase?

300mm is the depth of the carcass only. With the door it will be 319mm

I have a plan but it is at the house and I won't get there now till Tuesday.

It's all sorted now to be honest, I have the wall units fitted up to the extractor unit. I'll do a bit each night next week unless I get stuck on a big job at work

The larger unit should have a central pillar to hinge the door off – often two lengths of 15mm doubled up and white foil wrapped.

The wall units are 300mm deep

The base units have a dedicated corner kit that comprise of two pieces, one is about 100 wide and the other is about 50mm wide. The kit comes with brackets, it looks easy to sort the base units as there is a 200mm gap in the corner of the room, the difficult part was the wall units as I could not move them much or the extractor ducting and wiring would be in the incorrect place.

As it stands now I can fit the extractor to the wall one night next week, then I can fit the unit below for the hob and work backwards to the corner, it should be a piece of cake then as I have a mate lined up for fitting the worktops.

Another thing that has annoyed me about the kitchen is the wall end panels as they are 345mm deep, so I'll have to cut all 4 of them down

OK I know you've sorted this with a work around but for future reference. If the corner base unit means it is 625mm (let's say) wide with the corner fillet attached to the base unit, then the wall unit with a corner fillet PLUS the adjoining return unit should also equal the same (let's say 625mm), therefore all other units top and bottom should line up.

Sometimes corner fillets/posts are over sized, this allows you to cut them down to allow for slack in the room BUT if you cut a base unit fillet down, you then have to cut the wall unit fillet down by the same amount to marry with the base units.

The reason your wall end panels are over sized (345mm) is to allow for walls running out vertically. The wall units may need to be packed out in order for the front to sit level, in which case the wall end panels need to be scribed to the wall to hide this.
