£26/mtr is quite expensive. I've noticed a huge variance in price. I was talking to a fitter at a local carpet shop and he said that if I haggle 'I should get a better price' than that advertised. Internet prices are around £20-22 so I will be trying to get closer to thatjason123 wrote:Mrs J wants the laminate laying diagonally in the room, we need about 16 square metres to do the room conventionally, how much more should I get allowing for offcuts, Mrs J wants this stuff, had good recommendations for the quickstep laminate range. As a rough guide
We know your boards are 15.6mm wide so your going to lose approx 31.2 off the end of each row of boards laid
We know your boards are 137.6 long divided by 31.2 so now we know you will need 1 extra board for every 5 rows
assuming the room is squarish measure from corner to corner to determine total number of rows and divide by 5 to find how many extra boards needed hope its of some help have fun
