Don't bother with nail guns. They leave a bigger mark than doing it properly (not old fashioned at all) by hand.
Hot glue gun works as does mitre mate.

that trim has been fixed with a nail gun and not filled after, can you see the nail holes? theres one on the small piece 1/3 down central

Been there lol. Used to use one on the hand made kitchens and you can see the pin marks and still need to backfill. Once it was knackered I never bothered to replace it.
I can see the advantage for a bit more speed, but it isn't going to gain you enough time to complete an extra job on the same day.
The main advantage I found was that it freed up one hand whilst fixing mouldings at height.
