second worktop picture is fairly frightfull...

ive had to join a worktop in that sort of manner before. i routed both edges and then routed the 3 bolt recess's underneath and used clear silicone to join the 2 parts. it was awkward because it was the final run of a particular worktop colour and there was according to howdens only 1 length left in the country and it was way down south. anyways i used clear silicone and it was perfect. i could probably find the join. but id bet a lot of people would take a while before they noticed it too.

The electrics and plumbing were completed by two differant tradesman. I've no problems with their work and the full certificates have arrived.

I would say the blum rail fitting was broken. I can see its meant to split into two and adjust, but this one has quarter of the material missing when compared to its opposite fitting. (Unless i am again showing ignorance!)

I am today taking the suggested step and composing a recorded letter giving a final chance to undertake repairs in a reasonable timeframe.
