I have to say that I like Win 8. I have it on my desktop, no touch-screen fan here, and just use it as a normal PC. I really like Task Manager now- it has so much info and flexibility- no more waiting for the Computer Management snap-in to load just open Task manager and in a second you can see if that bit of software has just inserted itself into Start-Up and disable it with a click. Maybe this was there with Win7 I cant recall as I only used it for a month. But no more Computer Management/Services MSConfig messing about which is just great by me.

Another thing I really like is the News Tile. Normally, I would just load IE and read what was on my bookmarked websites but now I hit the news tile and hey stories from all over the place- that is very, very cool.

I have to say that imho, if folks are suffering crashes/bsod's its rarely poorly written drivers or a crappy OS mostly, and here I would hazard a guess at about 8/10, its poor power supply or possibly badly fitted fans that are causing the probs. No criticisms intended to folks having problems but I know when assembling a new PC its rare to have unlimited, or even nearly enough, cash to build what you want- Power Supply Units are so easily over-looked.

I don't think I ever had a crash with Vista, Win 7 and certainly not with Win8 and Win8 boots like nothing I have seen. All of course with oversized PSU's- its like adding nitrous to your fuel supply.
