LED lamps/bulbs ?

I have just got back from shopping at ASDA,where I bought a 6w LED bulb for £3.75.I think they are normally £7.50,but they had them on offer.

Was this a GU10 LED?? if so can you report back on performance...I'm still using mains 50W Gu10s in the kitchen (Eight of them..)

It doesn't have that number anywhere on the box.Just TCP Classic LED 6W 350 lumen B22 BC Warm Light.25 years lifetime.I will report back on it's performance.

Got a B22, a SES Candle and a E63 (I think) reflector. Basically one of every type in my house bar the single GU10 that never gets used. I wanted to check each type to see how it does. They arrive tomorrow, and I've got a level of excitement that is unhealthy for a 34yr old male :)

The website, incidentally, got gtreat reviews from a friend who has used it to replace all his house bulbs and thinks it's amazing, which leccy bills reduced the same.

I am finally just about ready to get some and think we have something like 24 GU10's to replace as well as numerous B22's which is why I have held back - the initial cost is going to be quite high and it is rare that I have enough spare to do the whole lot in one go but I so want to see just how much my bill goes down..!

Well, I can now say that ledhut seem to be pretty good at getting orders dispatched and if you take a few moments googling you can find decent discount offers - they had 10% off on their site but with both my orders I managed to get 20% off !
2 deliveries both well packed, and my first impressions are pretty good - the bulbs I ordered are mainly fitted now and have got a thumbs up from all the family. I also ordered a dimmer and a couple of bathroom ceiling lights which have yet to be fitted, but they look good to me, especially given the price.
Only time will tell how well they last and if the light changes but this is a good recommendation so far !

I've tryed a few led bulbs around the house and they do the job. But is one thing I feel is lacking on the gu10 bulbs. The ligth dosn't spread nearly as good as "normal" bulbs. Anyone seen any good ones that just dosn't ligth straigth down sort of?

Which is part of the problem...The "Beam angle" tends to be narrow (er) on led's..and very often is not stated at all..I'd like to see GU10's with a stated beam angle, not just a quoted "Wattage equivalent/lumens"

LED's are still to dull, you never get a great lumen from them, one day they will.

some are bright enough, it's just getting a standard that seems to be the problem...

LED'S are NOT dull. They now use them in Lamp Standards (street lights to you and me)

Thats my problem with them to. They are getting there though. I need alot ligth around me as person so I just got a few LEDs.

all my lights are pendants all the lights in the house we normally use on at once will be around 40w
bathroom 8w kitchen 10w dinning room 10w hall 6w sons room 6 lit up like an xmass tree
10 hrs are 400w =4.8p a day = £17.50 a year
if i turn off the bathroom and hall when not in use i could save nearly £8 a year or 2p a day
so once on they stay on until we go to bed

note since my first simmilar post i have changed some bulbs for 1 or 2w bigger ones and leccy has gone up slightly

They are bloody brilliant!!!!!! Im superimpressed. Not near my first LED bulbs wich was a beam of ligth and a buzzz sound.
Highly recomended!

my suggested compareson would be 9 times 4 or 36w
where would you place them in the light stakes

We got them for out bathroom wich had 4x35 watts. Theese seems much brigther and gives a...wow thats shiny effect. Im very impressed.
