I can see where you're coming from Wes but as the prophet himself said 'you can't polish a turd'

I'd have to rip it up and redo it - just as you would if you'd screwed a job that badly!

Lot of work though

Thanks for you replies. The 'tiler' was recommended highly on checkatrade and by the tile supplier. We are feeling very dissapointed to be in this position. Your replies have told us what we already thought but best to get a second opinion. The rest of the tiling is of a good standard so we have to decide how to proceed with payment as we also have a couple of other issues.

Never use checkatrade as a guide to how good someone is,it's an awful site.(others may disagree)
There is no excuse for tiling as bad as that when you are charging money to do this in someone's home.
The first thing that's done before a tile is laid is to check the rooms dimensions and how square it is and how this affects the layout regarding cuts etc.
Carpentry,I can explain it to you but I cannot understand it for you.

Actually on Mythbusters they got a shiny poo ball!

On a serious note I hope that they sorted the rubbish tiling.

I'd rather have a shiny poo ball than that tiling
