Aldi have a router table and router starting Thursday 11/ June. Duno what their like. Router comes with a couple of cutters and fence etc, also 3 collets. Probably .25",6mm and 8mm(although it doesn't say). Doubt it's 1/2"/12mm as it is only 1250 watt and £30. Also has the usual Aldi 3 year guarantee. It does look as though the "standard" (50mm base) guide bushes fit in it.

I have bought a set of the router bits before, and actually they're not too bad for the money. Video of all 3 here.

https://www.aldi.co.uk/en/specialbuys/t ... er-bits-2/

I won't be buying it, but only because I want a 1/2" inch one for the table(and SWMBO said no......) otherwise it looks to be a good start into the world of routing for 30 drinking vouchers.

Also ratchet clamp sets for £4.99

I've heard it's fathers day soon.............................. :-)

I bought the VDE screwdriver set, under a fiver & they feel very good...... :thumbleft:
https://www.aldi.co.uk/en/specialbuys/s ... ver-set-2/

A wee cautionary note, I'd never use the wee voltage tester for testing; if these types of screwdrivers get wet - which as a Plumber is always a probably, you'll get a 'belter' & if it's an electric shower you're testing for example......YOU'RE DEAD!!!
Buy a multimeter guys....... :thumbright:

Looks very similar to the set I got from Lidl, also very nice. I chucked out the neon tester and replaced it with a non-contact type as recommended by our lord and saviour Chez. :thumbleft:

Some bargains here today, the wee circular saw looks quite handy for the odd lightweight job;

I bought one of those saws over a year ago now - I'm still on the same blade :shock: - and have cut over 50 sheets of OSB, MDF and ply in that time and even a couple of sheets of 0.9mm corrugated sheet. Other than a very slight misalignment of blade/foot it has worked flawlessly. Light weight, enough power to do half a dozen sheets at a time and no overheating. The blade itself is remarkably resilient - like I said, I'm still using the original blade although I do have a spare new one and it's time to fit it.

The OSB I cut was all 11mm, the MDF was 15mm and the ply 9mm. No bother.

Recommended to any DIYer.
Don't take it personally......
