Well done all especially Stevie - as
I was hoping for the BOSCH - MULTI FUNCTION TOOL GOP250CE, as my one got returned from Bosch service earlier today in bits as they refused to honour the 3 year warranty as I never registered the tool with them within 4weeks of purchase! 2years old & only used 20times - pretty disappointed with the reliability & no sign of good will repair as they wanted £86 to fix!

Well done all.
As for Bosch they have to repair it for you. Look on Martin Lewis's site about your consumer rights. They obviously expect it reasonably to have lasted that long as they cover it under their warranty if you register with them. But they can't just do away with your rights because they say you should have registered.
You are entitled to it to have lasted a reasonable time which it hasn't. Get back to them in writing quoting your consumer rights.
If they still won't budge it maybe easier to claim against your credit card company if you used that to make the purchase.
Don't let them fob you off.

Bosch 3 year warranty is linked to commercial / professional use so wasn't sure if this gave me the same consumer rights as personal consumer rights...
Worth a reply I guess...I will see what they say!

Re: May 2015 free to enter competition
If they offer a 3 year warranty then it is reasonable for it to last 3 years, doesn't have anything to do with registration. Get back on to them, they should repair or replace free of charge, they have a legal obligation to do so.

Re: May 2015 free to enter competition
Hi guys, I emailed the following to them on the 4th June...
"Further to your email correspondence, dated the 01st June 2015, I was
disappointed to hear that Bosch are unwilling to repair the faulty item.
I am still perplexed as to why Bosch feel that they have no obligation to
repair the item merely due to the fact that I failed to compete the 36months
warranty registration within 4 weeks of purchase. This should have no
bearing on my statutory rights. By offering the 36month warranty, Bosch
themselves are implying the product should last a reasonable length of time
which as you will appreciated, in this instance, the item has failed within
this timeframe therefore suggesting the item is not fit for purpose due to
poor product durability.
I would be grateful if you could review Bosch's position in this matter, or
if necessary forward this case to someone more senior to allow this be
reviewed and the repair authorised."
I am giving them till Friday to respond before giving then another nudge...
