Col you should never ever accept the renewal quote, even if its close to the previous year. They just bung a load on in the hope people don't bother or pay direct debit and not notice.

Just had BG commercial quote as my fixed tarrif has run out, phone call, result fixed tarrif for 3 year at nearly halt the first rate.

I used to just use the same insurance company for years. Built up full no claims bonuses and never gave it a thought when the renewal forms came through. Until a few years ago when I decided to check one of the comparison sites. B'stards had been ripping me off all the time. Last quote from them was for summat like £550, but went with M&S insurance services for £230 (fully comp)
Now we've got a car through the motability scheme ( the future Mrs B (tomorrow) is registered disabled and earlier this year my car failed it's MOT miserably (rear axle wanted renewing and was going to cost more than the car was worth) Car comes fully insured. (dunno how they check my no claims though) :roll:

Sounds like it's a Peugeot or Citroen if its back axle, I have one to suit Picasso if needed
