It's 'live' this weekend and there's even practise sessions on Ch4 on Friday :thumbright:

The live presentations always used to be better presented than the heavily edited recorded programs so let's see how Ch4 do this coming weekend.

I'm off to get the XBox running so I can have a practise drive around the track.

Can't wait... (The live GP, not your practice...)

Hamilton takes pole by 0.077 of a second  Rosberg second...

 did you see practise early where Rosberg and Hamilton's times were exactly the same to one thousandth of a second :?

Rosberg must be reet pee'd off losing quali after his steady performance today though

Naah missed the practice; Rosberg is still smiling at the post qualifying interview though... unlike last season where the dummies left the pram at the slightest set-back..

Smiling? Grimacing more like

Still, even with the poor start Hamilton got in Australia he reeled Rosberg in easily and, had Hamilton stayed in front at the start, he would have walked away with a win easily. Rosberg is still looking like the number 2 in the team.

If it's a 1-2 tomorrow I hope we get another 'duel in the desert' like a few years ago!!! Racing wheel-to-wheel is when Rosberg's lack of driving skill really shows when compared to Hamilton. But if the Ferrari can throw a spanner in the works then so much the better

Well I 'cheated' this weekend and found a live internet stream of the F1 race in Sochi rather than waiting for the re-run on telly at 6pm. It was a 'Sky' feed and although it wasn't (always) in HD and there were a couple of stallings in the feed the fact it was live made up for it.

I won't spoil it for anyone though.....

I deliberately didn't read this thread yesterday as I thought it might contain a spoiler.. so thanks for that.. :salute:

Lewis did well to miss the carnage through the first few corners.. and to finish second..

You're safe with me Wine~o. I know how nasty the 'spoiler' can be. Note how the BBC have no problem with spoiling it for everyone now they aren't doing the coverage themselves? Spoilt little brats that they are.

Had to snigger at Vettel though. I know Kvyat was responsible for the initial shunt but Vettel lifting off in the high speed 3rd corner and getting a double-dose of rear-ending was entirely his own making

Rosberg has to be concerned that Hamilton can come through from such lowly grid positions and close in on him relatively easily - if Hamilton's luck turns it will only take a couple of races to open up the championship again. Fingers crossed.

Ok, who do YOU think was to blame? (Hamilton and Rosberg off on corner 3 in the Spanish GP)?

Looked to me as if Rosberg forced Hamilton off onto the grass......

Sounds like the team are trying to make this into a 'racing incident' instead.

It'll be interesting to see what the race officials have to say.

I'm in the blame Rosberg camp, he'd run out of the electrical back up power (used to be Kers, it's different now, but I don't know what they call it) and was consequently much slower than Hamilton at that point, both of them could have been more circumspect but there can be no doubt that Rosberg ran Hamilton off the road.

It just a surprise that it hasn't happened sooner.

Well done to the young Max Verstappen.
One day it will all be firewood.

Got to agree, not having the McLarens walking away with a 1-2 made the race a lot more interesting and Verstappen did a fantastic job to get the win. Certainly he's the man to watch for future championships.

I don't think that was ever going to happen!
