Mine has no grass what so ever. It does have about 6 tonnes of gravel though.

Ah I'm begining to see now. i don't like the combination of gravel and grass , that makes for a nuisance with regards to mowing etc but just gravel and nothing else isn't too bad if a little sterile. Saying that one customer of mine has a drive that must be between 2 and 3 inches of gravel and even walking over it is hard work let alone having to move the mower across it.

You now need to post another picture , this time weed free to show not just how easy they are to spot but how easy they are to remove
Probably doing too much thinking about it but the weed in your picture looks unsightly but if that were a lawn that same weed would more than likely go overlooked and not be worried over?

How easy it is to remove weeds, would that not be better with a video? problem is I don't have any weeds to remove. After taking the picture I..............removed all the weeds.
You are also right that in a lawn weeds are not as easy to see or remove. That was another reason we changed to gravel, as well as not having any grass to cut, we also gained space because we got rid of the lawn mower.

Yes I know what you mean about the space taken up by lawn mowers. I have two in my van which almost take up half the space in there. I've got a combi strimmer too which again takes up quite a bit of room. Then I've got another two mowers in a small lean to on the back garden. Still I'm happy that enough people have grass but either not the time or inclination to cut it as it gives me a living. I also take a bag or two of cuttings from some jobs and I have several compost heaps as well as a couple of "guerrilla " heaps secreted away on some jobs.
