that particular manager is a complete and total moron. he actually took jack whilshire despite him playing one game all season. drink water was a far better option. played the full season. his team actually won the league and he was an integral part of the team...... but he didn't play for one of the so called glamorous clubs.......

there was other players that perhaps should have been considered.... defoe..... too old apparently.... despite still banging in the goals to keep the mackems in the premier league.

andros townsend, in good form for newcastle despite their relegation.

theres many others too. but for some reason he was obsessed with youth and taking the best young players..... even if their was a better older option.

raheem sterling...... ffs

I'm puzzled why he took a few players that were clearly out of form. Rooney, Wiltshire, Sterling etc.

And leaving the big lad from Man Utd out until four minutes until the end!!!!! Hell mend him.

Andy Carol should've went if fit IMO. Gives any team a hard time and is a different option up front with 10/15 minutes remaining.
I couldn't believe that hodgson was paid over 14million quid for his England tenure

When are the English media and fans going to realise they ain't as good as they think they are?
A lot of their so called world class players look great when playing in a club team with foreigner players making them look better than they actually are.
Carpentry,I can explain it to you but I cannot understand it for you.

They're just 'professionals' these days, playing for a brand. Little self-respect or pride in country or nation. They were slack, complacent and thought they would win without having to bother to think or sweat. Little leadership on field either let alone off field. Captains and and goalies should have tactical ability not just skills (?) and inspire their team. Hardly worth watching anymore at any level apart from watching enthusiastic kids down the rec. And they get shot on the way home by cowardly gang punks in hoodies.

then london based english media are complete bell ends. they never ever give credit to the northern clubs. and by that i mean us, the mackems and the smoggies but particularly newcastle. not that we've deserved much credit recently.... but there you go.

and they always always big up the england team. england expects..... the hopes of a nation on their shoulders.....

the young players are all bell ends. the players should be made to complete an apprenticeship so they've got some kind of skills away from football. wether it be in work like we all do or other types of work. but nah they get paid fortunes and they just d*ck about once training is done. if they kept them normal and they were working along side normal people they mightn't be such twatful Fuc$ing people.

my mate works for a property rental company in newcastle. he deals with all the young newcastle players. he reckons they're all wet behind the ears

Well done to Wales, last night.

I don't see Portugal offering them a harder time than Belgium, but with Ronaldo playing you can never tell, same as Gareth Bale I suppose: encouraging for Wales that they won well last night without Bale scoring.
One day it will all be firewood.

Ramsey will be a big loss tho. I still can't see past Germany tbh. Hope Wales go on and win the whole thing tho!

I think Italy could well snuff them out the same as they did to Spain - we'll find out tonight.

Germany have never yet beaten Italy in a major tournament - that has to change some time, so my prediction is probably all wrong.
