Re: What mobile phone should i buy
Best bang for buck phone you can buy is the Xiaomi Rednote 4. And I bet you've never heard of them either?
They've only been around about 5-6 years and will eventually break into the mainstream market. I've had this phone about 3 months now and it's fantastic and super quick. It cost me £115 but takes ages to come from China.
Some guy at work said he wouldn't buy a phone that was made in China as he tinkered about with his Iphone. he obviously doesn't know where Iphones are made
Just remember at one point people never heard of Samsung or Sony either.

Sorry I missed this post. My phone is the Moto G5. Here is the right link http://www.argos.co.uk/product/6842176curtains wrote:Yes I want a sim free phone. Do you have the moto g5 phone or the moto e4 plus as the link you posted is for the moto e4 plus.dewaltdisney wrote:I assume you are talking of a SIM free phone. I have a SIM free Motorola the Moto G which cost around £170 from Argos. I have a £10 a month contract with EE for 300 minutes calls, 250mb data and loads of texts. This is it http://www.argos.co.uk/product/7457010. I am happy with it as it has a good 13mp camera which takes nice pictures and videos. The small data allownace is perefectly adequate for my needs as I never download music or video from the web unless I am connected to Wifi at home etc.
I have been happy with it and the way I look at it is writing it down at £10 a month, the equivalent deal if I had a contract phone. I am clear of the phone cost is 17 months so I am in profit thereafter.

No I've never heard of Xiaomi Rednote 4. Most of the people I work with have Samsung phones and a few have IPhones but they don't like you breathing on the phone just in case the screen breaks.Argyll wrote:Best bang for buck phone you can buy is the Xiaomi Rednote 4. I have the huawei P10, they really are a good phone and better then all the samsung phones I had before. Battery is good, they don't fill it with software bloat and when you shut an app it actually shuts down and doesn't pop back up again
You get a lot for your money with huawei .

Xiaomi, are hugely popular in China. There are the largest smartphone company in China and 5th largest in the world. Most people I know there use xiaomi, you see scores of people on the subway using them in Beijing.Argyll wrote:Best bang for buck phone you can buy is the Xiaomi Rednote 4. They are seen as the best bang for buck phone in China . Huawei are good but people think xiaomi 小米 is near same quality as apple but half the price. I agree. For the business course I teach there we analyse case studies on Chinese products sold internationally. The Chinese companies know they can't compete on reputation with apple samsung etc and need to shrug off the "made in China" negative aspect so they need to make a high quality product at a good price to be competitive with the competition.
I'll never buy a non Chinese phone again
