Is the clutch return spring connected or broken? That is the action to pull back the pedal and cause the hydraulic action to let the clutch engage. Presumably you have checked the spring is not broken or disconnected? The clutch action is pressure put on by depressing the pedal causes an hydraulic movement through the master down to the slave to cause the clutch to disengage. On lifting your foot the return spring on the pedal reverses this action. Fluid leaking past the cylinder seals is still my thought on this.

@ DWD ....
When you say "Fluid leaking past the cylinder seals is still my thought on this" do you mean the master? or slave?

It could be either but I am with the others on this and I suspect the slave. It is so hard to diagnose over the internet.

If fluid leaks past the slave seal it will become an external leak!

Hello everyone. I have managed to get the master cylinder changed and there is obvious change. The pedal does not get stuck anymore. Its only day one so I will be using it for a while before I begin to celebrate. At this point though I am convinced that the seal/s in the master were weak and was allowing the fluid to return or something like that.
Meanwhile THANK YOU ALL for your awesome counsel. Its been worth it. May you ALL also receive help when in time of need.
Manifold thanks :salute:
