What firms are still making it? I need two new doors as I'm removing a shelf so need shorter doors

I think I'd agree with B-A. What you (the OP) is looking for is a company using the same design, the same cutter sets and the same vinyl as the original. Without knowing who did the original it's almost impossible to say where you'd get doors like that - there are simply too many variables. I went through some of the vinyl swatches I've had from one of the more local vinyl wrap door makers and they definititely don't do any sort of antique pine - after all it was going out of fashion more than 10 years ago. Maybe worth trying one of those replacement door outfits on-line or one of the shops doing similar who might be better able to advise if you were to visit them in person. In Manchester I'd possibly start with KDS in Middleton, or on-line try Kitchen Magic. BTW I am NOT endorsing these firms as installers, just pointing out that there are replacement door outfits all over the place and that a personal visit (ideally with a sample door) is really the only way to go

Not trying to put you off, but the firms who manufacture the vinyl are industrial suppliers, so they just don't sell small quantities to individuals. I seem to recall being told that the smallest rolls were in the order of 500 metres long x 1000mm wide. And you can't apply it by hand, either. Take a look at this video which shows the sort of heated vacuum press required to do the job and you might get an inkling as to the scale of these operations (and the name in heated vacuum presses is supposed to be Bürkle should you be interested)



The door blanks are CNC machined from a special 1-side melamine-coated MDF stock which isn't generally available either (tends to be mill quantities only). In addition and most door makers have their own cutters made to order for the CNC routers - a TCT set is possibly going to be in the order of £200 to £300 for the two cutters required. This is why you probably won't get a match unless the original manufacturer can help.

I am leery of putting you in touch with one of the specialist shop fitting suppliers who may be able to make you up a couple of bespoke vinyl-wrapped doors as they would probably be looking for several hundred pounds for a couple of kitchen doors, assuming that they had appropriate cutters available (bearing in mind that you'd start with having to pay for the CAD-CAM origination which costs us £50/hour before they could even cut the MDF). I have come across firms who can print images and patterns onto vinyl which can then be wrapped around doors, but again the price will be high

All of this is why I suggested that a complete revamp and door change might in the end be a more viable option

Its the colour is the sue the shoe of the door is not a problem I can get it

The reality is that unless you are very lucky OP. then as J & K says the only viable option is to replace all the doors.
You can make pretty well anything, or get it made, but in reality you're looking at far more money than is economical.

i take it to be the door colour and not the shape thats the problem
my thought if that is the case then an autopaint shop would be a good place to start for a respray for perhaps £50-100 for a spray job as a guess

I was wondering that if the OP can get the door and moulding made would a good painter be able to create a 'grained' finish in paint to make it fit in. As has been said this is disproportionate in costs to be viable?

yes forgot it was a woodgrain print rather than a basic colour
