Re: Double side extension 2012:- 53sq metres of floor
Hi all
Got all upstairs ceilings boarded in the last day or so, got a week off now to really get this place sorted for the plasterer, lots of bits to do to get it sorted so could be a few long days coming
Pictures to follow in the next few days.....
Thank you

Evening All
A little bit of plasterboard on the walls and ceilings, much better than looking at the blockwork
2 bedrooms and the kitchen started, the big push now thou is to get all the kitchen finished ready for plastering within the next week or two, i also need the BI back this week to pass off the steelwork structures and insulation etc..
Finalised the kitchen design this morning, a very painful day
i will try and upload a picture of the kitchen design tomorrow...
Thanks for following the thread, really pleased to see we have now reached 10,000 views, hope people are picking up some tips along the way

Afternoon all
Had a busy week and managed to pull things along a bit, more plaster boarding done, Bi fold doors in, plyed the ceiling near the velux in the kitchen, re routed the water from the bathroom wastes across the steel work and out the gable end, kitchen ordered today and collected the fire door, so plenty done

Re: Double side extension 2012:- 53sq metres of floor
Morning All
A week of mainly joinery and further plaster boarding, just half a day away from all plasterboarding downstairs being completed
All door casings now in place, but the downstairs kitchen was an absolute nightmare as it was going back into the original doorway from when the house was built, it was all out of line with anything the joiner tried to line up with and well after a day at it the joiner made an absolute fantastic job of it
Also got the fire door in between the garage and the kitchen, bloody heavy lifting that about
I also got the cavity insulations in place at rear bi folding doors and the side of the kitchen/garage fire door.
Next week we move on to the plastering of the kitchen and maybe the downstairs w/c (the old kitchen entrance where the boiler used to hung on the wall) expecting this to take around 4 days, on a tight schedule now as the kitchen is due to be started to be fitted the Tuesday the week after Nothing can run over or the wife will kill me
Thanks for following and more up dates next week..
Cheers

Re: Double side extension 2012:- 53sq metres of floor
It is coming along nicely, you are well on the way now. Just boarding out makes a major leap forward and once you start installing kitchen units you hit a significant point. Just remember that it is all the finishing that takes time and you are so dog tired of it all it is easy to slide and ruin the ship for a ha'penny of tar.
Well done so far mate

Re: Double side extension 2012:- 53sq metres of floor
Evening all
Sorry for the delay in updating but been a little busy, all kitchen now fully plastered, electrics all in place ready, kitchen ready to be fitted Thursday, new bar stools and accessories purchased, laminate floor and under lay purchased, stud wall joinery work done in upstairs bedrooms to make it easier to board out, frame in downstairs wc in progress in order to box in electric cables and meter, rear outside double hopper fitted to take all rain water, shower, bath and sink waste plus washer, sink and dishwasher waste from kitchen area.
The appliance Sockets now have nice plastic fittings attached ready for the appliances to be plugged in soon a kitchen back, I cannot wait, eating for the last 4 weeks is taking its toll all ways round
Going forward kitchen starts to be fitted Thursday, porch and garage roof now started to the front, laminate to go down middle of next week, painter arriving shortly after....
Things really motoring, I may just may scrape it being done by Christmas, but still things to do
Pictures will be updated Friday as this is the first chance I will have.
Sorry for the delay...
Cheers
