I bought mine a couple of years ago from US/Ebay.......

Oh boy. I drove about 10k 5.0 x 100mm screws in the last 8 days framing out floors, packing and fixing down (my right elbow is telling me that right now), so we maybe have a mismatch in quantity here

Just re-read that - it should have read "4k 5.0 x 100mm" (not 10k), in other words, 4,000 or 40 boxes of #10 x 4in screws. Enough in any case, when added to the 30,000 flooring screws I've driven since October, to give me tennis elbow (RSI). Also enough to know that most bits aren't up to it. The current Milwaukee does last longer if you use it in the Milwaukee bit holder, bit life isn't actually that great (although still much better than that of Stanley or DW bits)

We were talking about screwdriver bits at work today and how long they last etc.
We reckon(and I don't want to bang on about how good they are but I will) our hilti collated ph2 bit has put in around 1.2million screws. At around a tenner for one bit that's phenomenal value.
