Mine arrived. Ordered late afternoon yesterday. Here by 11-30 ish this am. Service from Trend! :thumbleft:
They all are double sided and were all already loose in the blocks. I'll use WD40 or similar as a lube I think. It's what I've used in the past with some of those little diamond sharpening plates I've got.

Neither was mine. Why does the smoother grit side have perforations while the rougher side doesn't?

Looks the same as mine. I wonder as well; why there is an area without holes?
Still they did say it was a coarse side only.

My own opinion is whatever machine made these obviously didn't make the intended perforations. You tend to get that when there has to be some sort of change over process with the machinery.

For instance I used to make tongue & groove flooring. Every couple of hours or so you'd have to change the cutters and run a few boards through to make sure the fit was correct. You would inevitably have some wasted boards where the fit wasn't quite right.

I reckon that's what these cutting stones are. Still they look like they'd still do the job.

haha we once got a full loft conversion worth of flooring. cant remember how many sq meters. the whole lot was machined wrong. so the tongue and grove were opposite to each other.

took it back to the timber yard. showed the old man at the yard who was really stern. he looked at them and said f*ck me i bet the whole b*stard lot is the f*ck same. :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire: haha we went through and there was masses and masses of flooring that had been machined wrong. atleast 20 times what was on the roof of my van.

shame as that place alwasy sold really decent quality flooring and the like

There's a guy near me that sells 8x2 T&G. It must be the rejects because we'd wait until we had a full pack of 40 boards boards and spray on the side in red spray paint 'scrap'. It should be made into battens but it must make his way to him because I could see traces of the red paint. I bought about 20 boards from him but let him know I knew they were rejects. he let me have them for £20 and I floored my loft with them.
