If I had to choose, I would watch women's football over the men’s game as they do seem to score more goals, cheat far less, and don’t argue with the referee… all of the above plus most of them are very easy on the eye

I finally watched Old Dads and I was disappointed in it as it was not up to expectations. The lead faces a relentless grind of wokery but it does not reverse things in the end as you would hope. So instead of being amusing it is actually depressing and it kind of vanishes up its own arse being largely inconclusive. Don't bother.

My sister said to try Monk on Netflix. We bumped it after 10 minutes as it appeared it was a US version of Professor T. Professor T, originally a Belgian series on Walter Presents on C4 had a recent English version with Ben Miller leading. This was very similar but the main character was grating. It ran for a lot of series so we might give it another go when we are more receptive. (unlikely)

A Quiet Place on Netflix is a post-apocalyptic horror. It revolves around spider-like aliens who are blind but have acute hearing and any sound draws them in to kill. I could have sorted this with a few RPGs and a loud alarm clock. Ding ding ding of the alarm alien hears and attacks the clock RPG blows it to buggery. Next. We binned it.

I seem to recall that being on film4 some time ago. Well I think it's a sequel but I could be wrong and can't be bothered to look it up. I suppose it was okish although as the speach was generally quiet subtitles helped. I think what tends to bug me about films of this genre is just how such a species would evolve. We only see blind creatures on earth evolve in places like caves devoid of light yet here we are lead to believe these creatures have not only thrived as surface dwellers but have somehow managed to travel interstella distances all without sight , hands or rational thinking...

Continuing my YouTube movie binge I caught Revolver a 2007 Guy Ritchie movie I missed at the time. Jason Statham stars looking like a special needs case and although it has a lot of violent scenes it really is a stupid story that I could not follow and I could not fathom the abrupt end. One to miss.

We gave mainstream TV series a chance and realised the folly of watching shite turned out for the poor sods who cannot afford streaming. The first was Whitstable Pearl on UKTV or the like. It stars Kerry Godliman who is quite good but this was absurd from the kick-off with the obligatory single mother, black kid, black detective love interest. It was an unbelievable story that we stuck with to the end but cancelled the record series setting. Rubbish.
The second pile of garbage was Suspect on C4, only a half hour but got nowhere in the unlikely scenario of the plot. Utter shite
I did not even bother with the Olympics I have no interest whatsoever and the BBC have cheap TV to fill up their schedules. Who gives a shite?

Im pretty much indifferent to the olympics too. My wife was watching the opening ceremony but the bits I saw looking pretty boring and my wife wasn’t that impressed. She also wasn’t impressed with how things are shown. For example she was watching the mens hockey and halfway through that went to iplayer and it cut to badminton. One thing I will add is that we recently went to her father’s and he was watching the Tour de France . I can admire their fitness and so on but it’s mind numbingly boring to watch. It’s like a slower , quieter motor racing…

Yes, cycling is the sport I watch. The big three classics The Giro d'Italia, the Tour de France, and La Vuelta are wonderful to watch. If you understand the team tactics, which always seem to fall down on the day, you can admire the pro cyclists who ride at least 100 miles a day over very testing terrain. It makes me laugh when football commentators say 'There are a lot of tired legs out there', pansies. Even if you do not like cycling the tours are a great travelogue to seeing places you would never go.

Fair play if you like watching the cycling it’s just not for me, I find it boring . Mind saying that I can’t get excited about motor racing or horse racing or even humans running round in circles. Each to his own I guess

Tell me if im out of touch but if i was given the job of planning the olympics i can't believe I'd choose to have a bunch of trannys imitating the last supper. Whats gone wrong with the world its like who can out weird each other?! I see some clips from the tour de france years ago when riders used to raid the cafes of booze enroute and be riding along drinking from a wine bottle

Some woke French t*at trying to appeal to the trans-gender brigade. It was a disgrace against Christians, if they tried that using a slur against Islam it would have been a bloodbath.

We started watching the 1971 film Please Sir from the TV series on YouTube. We stayed with it for about half an hour but we soon got tired and dumped it. The amusing thing was the humour which was free and not bound by woke b*llocks of today albeit lame.

We tried Mrs Sidhu Investigates on UK channel. We lasted about 10 minutes, the murder was good but it was too slow to get going, and there were too many irritating people in the cast. Meera Syall stars which prompted us to watch. Don't bother.
