No damage, lucky it didn't land on the computers, as the tanks are directly above them.

It'll have to wait as I have a snooker match.

Had it all up to 1bar, problem was it was coming out just as fast.

That's the problem with these modern boilers...5 minutes after they're installed...they start leaking all over the place....

I agree it is shocking, they really messed up back at the factory not sending out the caps and a note saying "dear john, please find enclose caps and dont forget to use them to cap your cold feed and vent"

It's an incredibly stupid thing to do that's for sure.

Removing the cylinder, meant changing the hot and tank cold over as well the cold feed and vent for the cylinder, and did all that, and forgot the header tank.

I haven't been in the loft yet, but 3bar up an open pipe, is gonna make it damp

We've all been there Scruff that moment when your filling the system and the pressure gauge seems to stay on zero for ages.

Last unplanned water escape I had was when the lad was capping the cold feed to an f+e tank which also had a takeoff for an electric shower and he capped the wrong side and put the main back on whilst I was having a dump. Trousers round ankles trying to get the muppet to turn it off again without alerting the client! Thank God for the wet vac

No water marks on the newly decorated ceiling yet, so it looks like most of the water came through the loft hatch, onto the office floor and through the ceiling below, tiled floor, so may have been very lucky.

Got about 5k worth of computers right under tank, and not a drop on the desks.

That's one room that won't need a rad then

my last cock up was with an intergas in a bungalow. had pipe it all up expect the PRV. was filling the system when I noticed that the roofer had not put the flashing on right...so ran down the ladder to catch the roofer before he buggered off...

well I only left the flaming filling loop on


walk back in the house with this roofer in toe only to find the customer standing under the loft hatch screaming as water was poring out of the hatch

wet vac to comes in to save the day

Hey I had the cylinder and old boiler out and the new boiler installed in just under 8 hours, and thats not taken into account forum time and tea breaks, so the old boy didn't do too bad.

Well Intergas boilers, I'm well impressed, just need to finish the commissioning, and turn the temperature down, can't touch the radiators without 1st degree burns,

Just for the record, the boiler is as quite as a church mouse.

Going to try a shower next.

I hope you will be fitting an outside temperature sensor as they are very reliably priced to keep your boiler condensing.

if you need any help getting in to the setting then I would be happy to help. they are very confusing at first to use but you can change a whole host of setting like range rating the CH(you can even range the dhw) and the length of time the pump over run is and the anti-cycling.
