Living room. Removed top half of fireplace, going to pop something new across the top to modernise it a bit.
Fire gone.

Wow is the only word I can think of, you certainly have more balls than me tackling that kind of project. Really looking forward to seeing the rest!

Re: Never Ending House Renovation/Extension
Thanks, and no worries It's nice to get positive comments, because I'll be honest...It's not been easy, been a heck of a journey and very, very daunting at times. To be fair 8 months of the 3 years I've been at it were spent with no work done at all, this was because I lost access to my kids for those 8 months :-( Was a horrible time...
But all's well now so I'm still steady away at it, no rush for me. I hope it can inspire and help people, I've learnt a lot so if others can too then great. I couldn't have done any of this if it wasn't for my Dad's hands on, and my Mums 'Just get it done' attitude
Stood in old kitchen.
Looking from in the new extension, living room is to the left.

Time to remove the living room wall, to the side of the old kitchen.

Window frame out and Bob the builder (My Dad) ready to help me start removing the wall. Just like that!

And another wall gone! Although, word of advice...Always check that there's a lintel or similar holding the wall above...See pic in next post!

Re: Never Ending House Renovation/Extension
The wall above was literally sitting on the window frame! Seems all the houses on my street are the same. Crazy!
All the brick work above moved very slightly...
