A few questions i need help with

Hi everyone, hope you are all ok in the lockdown. My first question is this, I am self-employed doing all aspects of home maintenance but I have a problem-pricing tiling up. Is it best to price up per square metre/foot? If so how do you work it out, because there is a big variation between the size of the tiles? What do you charge per metre etc? You can send me a pm if you don't want to put it on here. Also, my second question is this, a customer is wanting me to tile a small downstairs toilet but it has cladding other it. I can take most of it off but I can't get it off at the side and back of the boiler, which is in there too. Can I tile over-cladding? if so, do I need to get a certain type of adhesive and also should I score the cladding?
