Hi guys,
We're about to build our kitchen and would love to have true handleless doors like you see in the expensive German kitchen.
We are planning on using bespoke valchromat doors on bog standard carcasses.
To achieve that handleless door profile, we were thinking of making the doors / fronts shorter, and then having a metal rail manufactured (colour matching the valchro) which we'd fix onto the carcasses. The doors / fronts would then close onto this thin rail.
Has anybody ever tried doing this kind of thing?
any advice gratefully received!

a while back i fitted a benchmarx kitchen pretty similar to the one on their website
https://www.benchmarxkitchens.co.uk/Kit ... Handleless

the rail sat into notches on the front of the carcass and the worktop was raised slightly... approx 30mm

doors were standard sizes so with benchmarx it was 725mm i beleive.... you achieved the handleless effect with the 40 odd mm aluminium profile and the approx 10mm notch and the 30 mm mdf strips that sat ontop of the cabinets.

this range also had blum push to open drawers

okay thanks Fin,
That's not really an option for us as the carcasses are off the shelf, but we want the rails to be the same colour as the doors, so I think using any sort of premade handless carcasses wouldn't work. Has anyone ever tried anything similar to this? would be great to hear from you!

you could probably find out the ral number (or whatever it is....) the number of the colour of the frontals. and then get the chanel powder coated to match... if it would work on aluminium like. not a metal work type of bloke so not sure

if ya could do that then it would be possible to perhaps use the benchmarx carcasses
