Do I need to secure my timber bearers to my shedbase please

Hello I am building a shed and have my concrete base done. I have bought my pressure treated bearers and need to know if I ca njust lay them down so that the shed weight will hold them or do I need to secure them somehow.
If so, how?

Neither of my two sheds are fixed down and they've both been there for a good many years without any problems.

If you wanted to fix them down, a few sturdy angle brackets would do the job.

if its larger than say 8x10ft and made from perhaps 3x2" and 12mm cladding then no problem at all
if its smaller made off less substanial materials the perhaps
you will get an idea off the weight when you transport the timber by hand round the back

what size is the foorprint and what thickness flooring are you using ??

I would always fasten a shed down, if its small, and you have a lot of weight in it, and its in a sheltered position, it may be ok, but for the sake of £10

I would still bolt it down, four or six rawbolts/plugs through the floor beams would be ok. you dont want it going missing during the night would you!

foot print is actually what it sounds like

it just means the area it covers[stands on]as in a 6x8ft shed
11mm osb isnt my favorite 12mm ply or thicker osb as any 11mm osb i ever stand on starts to crumble even at 16 centres

Yes, everyone, It is definitely going to be secured now, I've bought a hammer drill, so no going back. No, I don't want it going missing and sorry Big-all silly, of me, The area is 1200mm square. Yes it is small but it's going to be tall so that my collapsed cantelever umbrella and other tall things can be stored there. The bearers are 30mm x 40mm.

Have I asked these questions before,if so no one has answered:
Looking at garden shed diagrams, I cannot quite see the details, perhaps you can help to clarify please.

Concrete base is now down and about to start the timber frame (floor).

Does the floor just overhang the bearers underneath by a fraction, or should the dimensions be the same? Does it matter?

What about the walls, should they overhang the four sides of the floor or again, be the same as the floor dimensions please? Meaning all edge to edge?

With your help so far, I am getting there, thank you. Yes Big-all I am definitely learning.

the idea is to make sure the flooring stays dry at all costs so sides at least 12mm overlap down below bottom off floor
if driving rain can reach the floor bearers too often although they will be isolated from the concrete by felt tile or dpm the splashed or driven rain may be held against the floor underside hence having them as far back as you can but enough so the weight will be taken from the walls to floor bearers hence the 1/3 depth off framework

I think I've got it Big-all. To clarify, the floor overhangs the bearers by 12mm on all sides and the bearers are isolated with dpm. Just a point, as window sills have a drip groove, how effective would an overhang actually be?

best to get the floor overhanging by at least 25mm and the cladding by say 12mm below the floor bottom edge
if you cover the open face off the timber leave the back face uncovered to let it breathe
just make sure your groove is at least say 5x5 to shed the water
i actually used 4" chamfered skirting as my window cills but after 10 years had to rengineer and champher 4x1" treated as the 3 or4mm deep capillary groove weakend the nose causing cracking
also repeated the cills above the windows and door so and drips would miss the the top and face off the door or window
