Bathroom downlights are dim and flickering

Hi,
I have 6 AURORA 12/240V AC IP65 compact universal downlight installed in my bathroom and after four years, four of them are dim at times, rarely come to life and at times, they flicker. Any idea what's wrong with them? Below is a photo of a dim downlight

This is a perfectly working downlight in the bathroom

Also, if it requires taking the bulb out, any idea how I go about doing it? I'm seriously struggling to take the cover off. I have access to the loft so I can access the bulbs there of needed.

Transformer on its way out?
I am assuming they are 12v? perhaps you take one out and look?
Ceiling lights have the lamp removed from below the light, not the loft space (above the light)
Its hard to tell what you have as the light is on, but it will either twist 30 ish degrees then fall out, or just pull out (after removing a clip holding in the lamp)
Close up picture in daylight (lamp off) would help.

Here is the light again but switched off this time. What do you think?

I have tried to twist the outside case off but it's not moving. I honestly have no idea how to take them off and fear I would rip the ceiling off.

I think it could be a downlight similar to this one
Which is held in place by a butterfly spring clip (some can be very very strong clips) it's a case of pulling the light down towards you and hoping the plaster doesn't damage. Howerlver if this is the bathroom and there is access to the loft you can go into the loft and spot the individual dowlights, compress the butterfly spring and push the unit through the ceiling (Electricity off first!!!)
