Bauker 18V Compact SDS Rotary Hammer Drill 1 x 2.0Ah
https://www.toolstation.com/bauker-18v- ... ill/p69823
Hi,
Looking for opinions on this BAUKER SDS drill. Required for Everyday DIY use. I'll be buying the 4ah battery later.
It is the cheapest I've come across but the reviews seem very positive.
Many thanks in advance

I think it depends on whether you anticipate using the drill away from mains power sources a lot. Mains power is always the best option I feel as breaking and tile removal are generally longish jobs that will sap batteries quickly. Using extension reels and I do not think I have ever been stumped and unable to do a job using mains power. The Screwfix Titan SDS is a big heavy mofo that is more useful for a range of SDS functions. Just my opinion, but that drill looks a bit light.

2.0ah battery wont last long.
I second the Titan SDS corded. Ive used it for breaking concrete haunchings, core drilling etc.

Lidl have one in store at the moment and I can highly recommend it although it is a corded drill.

I would guess it's cheap for a reason.
Maybe it's because it also says
toolstation page wrote: Suitable for drilling and screwdriving in a variety of materials. Please note this product is not suitable for chiselling concrete.
..........and using an SDS for screwdriving?

If I was still on the tools I'd have a cordless SDS like a shot, for the reasons J & K gives in the other thread about these tools.

Otherwise, unless you really are using it away from the mains a lot, or at least using it pretty regularly I'd have a mains SDS.

i went cordless sds a couplea years back. well actually.... really about 5 years back.... my first one was the festool sds. however it is a very limited machine due to not having roto stop (god knows why as every other pro machine has it)
i upgrade it to a propper pro machine in the end. the dewalt straight through model available at screwfix for a couplea hundred quid.
in the 5 years of the festool and then the dewalt my old bosch sds which i paid a couple hundred quid for has not seen the light of day. and in the 2 years since i got the dewalt the festool hasnt seen the light of day haha.
