Good morning
Need advice please.
The paint on the archway into my home has begun to peel off with the recent bad weather. Last year I repainted this archway and adjoining hallway with Sandtex paint and up until last week all has been fine. With the constant rain and high winds the paintwork around the archway has begun to peel off and the exposed wall is plastered with pink coloured plaster. I think this may have been repaired in the past with an internal plaster product which I’m sure isn’t the correct thing to use on an external weather facing wall.
Going forward what options do I have to rectify this issue. I’m unsure how far back from the archway the plaster extends to so is it possible to prep the area using a waterproof sealer type product on the exposed plaster and repaint ? I have also checked for other reasons for water ingress such as bust gutters and water running down walls etc. but it’s simply the weather.
Photos attached for reference.
All advice would be most appreciated.

Painted plaster issues
It does look to have been repaired with internal plaster. Needs re-doing with a sand cement render then repainting.

Hi there and thanks for the reply.
Thought as much. Will I able to apply the render coat over the top of the current surface following removal of the loose paint ?
Thanks
