I'm new, hi all and a question already !

Post by loopyloo »

Hi all, I have just found this forum and I think its great.
I'm only a member for 10 minutes and I already have a question.
Would anyone be good enough to tell me how to measure an internal angle so that I can cut it on my mitre.
It is where the chimney breast is and I want to put up picture rail and I was going fine until now !!!
Any help is much appreciated, thanks.

May be worth posting the question on the Carpentry/Joinery forum. Also there are a few comments on there about angles

loopyloo, welcome, i is new also.
i think the easiest way would be to cut a 45 mitre, then scribe it together, no need to mess about with angles and the like.
good luck

Hi and welcome to this friendly forum. :toothy4:

And the answer to your question........ you need a sliding bevel. Adjust it to the internal angle (so it touches both walls) and then use a protractor to get the angle in degress.
