I have three switches for the landing light to replace and one is an intermediate switch. I bought a replacement but it's labelled differently. Anyone know how to wire this intermediate switch?

1 = L1 and 2 = L2 so basic no change. There is a add files option, why mess around with photos on another site?

Ummm I noticed the 1s are opposite sides of the old switch but L1s are side by side on the new switch?
Does it matter which 1 goes to which L1?

The easiest way is to swap them over as they are now, so the pair at the top stay at the top, which means the pair at the bottom stay at the bottom.

Nope can't do that. As I said from the pictures. 'the pair at the top' of the original of switch are 1 and 2, 'the pair at the top' of the new switch are L1 and L1. So unless you can talk in those terms, I'm not confident you have seen the photos

Trust me.

The pair at the top stay at the top, and the pair at the bottom stay at the bottom. What is hard in that? It does not matter what the terminals are called on a light switch, they could be called Tom, Dick, Harry and Dave, it matters not, what does matter is the ones at the top stay at the top............which means the ones at the bottom stay at the bottom.
