Post by stingray316 »
l'm looking at hiring alloy full width 1.45m2.5m tower for painting around the outside of the house. It saysin the hire book adjustable locking castors for safety and mobility. Has anyone on here hired these alloy towers before, if you have are they easy to assemble ,easy to move around and safe. What about getting everything level advice would be great.

They normally have a coarse theaded screw to adjust the castors, with about 500mm of movement. Anything else needs to be blocked up to suit.
Get the outriggers for it to be extra safe.
They are easy to assemble, and the hire co should offer you or give you a guide to assemble it.
Depending on what brand it is, some are easier than other imo.
An extra pair of hands will be a great help for putting it together. If you have smooth paths to wheel it on they move easy, if not, an extra pair of hands will be handy.
