Hello, I have a ceiling fan to install, mostly should be ok, but it's what to do with the loop? Where do I put them in the fan block? Can you connect them together to by pass the fan assembly although?
There are earth's but I have to strip back the insulation to get to them.
Thanks.

Fitting a b&q fan
I can't see all of you fan, so I am wondering how will you see? I am assuming (Because I can't see the whole fan) you are taking a light down and putting up a fan?
Assuming that the light is going.
Almost all mains ceiling or wall mounted fixtures do not have enough space or connectors to connect the existing wires into. Therefor the easiest solution is to replace what ever you have be it ceiling rose, small junction box etc with WAGO connectors and a WAGO box and run a short cable from this new junction to what ever you are installing. That way you only have one cable to connect to your new purchase (Fan in this case)

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
