slip whilst using a chissel
Going back a couple of years now i was fitting stud work to a small utility room (mainly to cure dampness as it was only single leaf) It was a bit of an odd shaped room so the stud work had a few angles and notches cut into various places and so on.
anyway i took one of the smaller timbers down stairs to cut the notch out. i just did it with my hand saw. on taking it back up stairs i realised the notch was ever so slightly too small. so i got my chissels out.
I removed a small amount of material and took it back to try it. still needs a tiny little bit out
back down stairs i go. start removing and someone shouts for me. so i looked up but at the same time carried on. Big mistake. when i looked back down i saw the cut and thought ahh its not soo bad. i carried on. then the blood came
came quite close to putting the chissel through the veins in my wrist haha

I slipped with a jack saw once and went to the bone of my index finger by the middle knuckle.
Still had an an afternoons work booked in so wrapped bog roll around it and covered with electrical tape.
I was driving round the North Circular holding my hand up outside the van window.
Went to A&E after the then girlfriend freaked when I got home.
9 stitches and I still have only partial feeling on that finger.
