I have purchased way too many tiles for my new hallway. I think they are terracotta based. These are the tiles

I am having a covered porch put on the front of the house and was wondering if I could use these tiles in the porch. I wasn't sure how they would fair in frost? Could I treat them with something?
Advice appreciated

Internal tiles in porch
I am not an expert on this but the tiles are 9mm thick so they are quite robust. The main issue is stopping any water ingress that could freeze and pop the tiles. This is unlikely if it is a covered porch so as long as you use a waterproof adhesive and grout you should be fine. You have a load of replacements to hand if you need them

Internal tiles in porch
I have these very tiles in an unheated summerhouse, they have been down four years with no problems. I think they will be fine.

The spec is suggesting (but not saying definitely) that these are porcelain: it does rate them to -5°C which should be good enough for most of the UK.
Terracotta would be a bit suspect (imo), what colour is the unglazed part of the tile? Red/brown will be terracotta,(think flower pots).
