Replacing tiled plywood in the bathroom

Post by vm3ssy »

Hello forum,
I thought it would be a good idea to re-do some grout and caulking above the bath/shower. Turns out the tiles above my bath are not held together anymore and fell off. The wood is rotten and it goes up about a meter.

Looks like there was some leaking from gaps in the side. So now I want to replace the plywood which is tiled. I have removed the tiles in the area I want to resolve - going up to just above where the issue started.
Question is, can I replace the plywood with an aqua panel and how do i seal it to the plywood above the area. I am only taking a portion of the plywood out.
Also behind the plywood is just a gap where the pipes run. I was hoping to take out the plywood and screw in the new aqua panel once i cut it to size. Just not sure on sealing it to the plywood above it and the wooden frame on the sides.

Thank you!
